Frequently asked questions

How are late return charges calculated?

For daily bookings: daily_rate × days late. For weekly bookings: (weekly_rate / 7) × days late. For monthly bookings: (monthly_rate / 30) × days late.

When is a return considered "early"?

Only if the vehicle is returned more than 2 hours before the planned end time. Anything within 2 hours is considered "on time" and incurs no adjustment.

Can I deliver a vehicle without a signed contract?

Yes, but the delivery confirmation modal will require explicit risk acknowledgement before the Confirm button is enabled, and the audit trail will record the override.

What happens when a booking is closed?

The customer receives a database notification and (if email is configured) an automated email summarising the booking, financials, deposit, and settlement. Failures are logged but do not block the closure.
